Over the years, I’ve been drawn to understanding how people think, grow, and navigate the big questions in life. Not just the practical ones, but the quieter, harder ones. Who am I becoming? What actually matters to me? Why does life feel full but not fulfilling?
I’m certified in Brain-Based Coaching (BBC) through the NeuroLeadership Institute, based on the work of David Rock. This approach is grounded in how the brain responds to insight, reflection, and change, and how the right conversations can help people find their own clarity and direction.
Over time, my own style of coaching has evolved into something a little different that feels more true to how I see the world, through my interaction with close friends and family. While many approaches focus heavily on moving from point A to point B, life rarely unfolds in such a straight line.
I’ve since curated the Ikiru Method, a coaching style that blends the structure of Brain-Based Coaching with Ikigai philosophy and a softer, more reflective Eastern perspective. This allows my coachees to create space to explore meaning, identity, balance, and what a life that feels genuinely yours might look like.
Ikiru — 生きる — is the Japanese word for to live. Not to survive, not to cope, not to get through. To live.
That’s the invitation.
What to Expect
Sessions are intentionally unhurried. This isn’t a productivity conversation or a goal-setting exercise; though clarity and direction often emerge naturally. It’s a space to think out loud, to be heard without judgement, and to explore what’s underneath the surface of a busy life.
Sessions are available in person in Cascais or remotely; wherever feels right for you.
The setting is quiet. The conversation is real. And just like life, it won’t always be perfectly tidy. We are here to embrace wabi-sabi (侘び寂び), the Japanese philosophy that centers on the acceptance of transience and imperfection
For in-person sessions, I’ll offer a cup of matcha or matcha latte, a small nod to the Japanese philosophy that runs through everything I do and who I am. You’re welcome to just enjoy it, or let it slow you down before we begin.
